WE were fast asleep one night. We were awakened by a series
of gunfire. We saw a jeep stand in front of the house of Dr.Mahmud. Six well
built young men jumped out, with rifles in their hands. Their eyes were all
that could be seen, for their faces wee hidden by means of long handkerchiefs.
Four of them jumped over the wall into compound of the house. They saw the
inmates of the house lying in their beds. Three of them leveled their guns at
them. The fourth what straight to the doctor and demanded the keys of the safe.
