A RATION DEPOT is a place of great interest. It guarantees the supply of wheat flour and sugar to each and every card holder. The number of the members of a family is written on each card.

 It has fixed hours for work it is known everybody in the locality it serves. People go there to get flour, rice and sugar.

 These things are sold to ration-card holders to government rates. The ration of a grown-up person is double than that of a child.


Short Essay 

 Sometimes there is great rush of people at a ration depot. They make a queue and wait for their turn, avoid pushing and quarreling. 

They can get receipts for their payments. If they get a short measure they can report the matter to the Rationing Controller. 

Their stock and its quality can be checked by the officers of the Food Department
