Active vs Passive voice tense in English 

Present passive voice

Thisis active voice and passive  this post you can know  tense in the passive voice. It is very simple explanation. 1-Present Passive voice 

Activeکو passive voice میں تبدیل کیا جاۓ گا تو اس میں تین بینادی تبدیلیاں کربا پڑتی ہے۔

Subject کو object بنادیا جاتاہے اور object کو subject ہوتا ہے۔

Verb کی تیسری فارم آتی ہے

تیسری فارم کے by لگا دیا جاتا ہے passive  میں سب tense میں تیسری فارم آتی ہے

Helping verb

Do / does active voice

Subject + H.V+ M.V (1^st F) + object

I take tea

He writes a letter.

میں چاۓ پیتا ہوں

وہ خط لکھتا ہے۔

 

Passive voice

Formula

Object + H.v +M.V (1^st F) + object

Tea is taken by me

A letter is written by him

چاۓ میری زریعے پی جاتی ہے۔

خط میرے زریعے لکھا جاتا ہے۔

 

 

Active subject	Passive object

Active = passive

Powerful = power less

 

Negative منفی

Tea is not taken by me.

A letter is not written by him.

 

Interrogative سوالیہ

Is tea taken by me?

Is a letter by me?

 

 

2-  The Past passive voice

Did

Active = subject + H.V + M.V (2^nd F) +object

Police caught the thief.

We cut tree.

پولیس نے چوڑپکڑا۔

ہم نے درخت کاٹا۔

 

Passive = object + H.V+ M.V (3^rd F) +by +subject

Thief was caught by police

Tree was cut by us.

چوڑ پولیس کے زریعے پکڑا گایا۔

درخت ھمارے زریعے کاٹا گایا۔

 

Negative

Thief was not caught by police

Tree was not cut by us

 

Interrogative

Was thief caught by police?

Was tree cut by us?

 

 

3-Future simple passive voice 

Active = subject +H.V+M.V (1^st F) + object

We shall sing a song.

They will win the series.

ہم گانا گاۓ گے۔

وہ سریز جیتے گے۔

 

Passive = object +H.V+M.V (3^rd F) +by+ subject

A song will be sung us.

The series will be won by them.

گانا ہمارے زریعے گایا گایا۔

سریز ہمارے زریعے جیتی گئ

 

Negative منفی

A song will not be sung by us.

The series will not be won by them

 

Interrogative سوالیہ

Will a song be sung by us?

Will the series be won by them?

 

Present progressive examples

4-Present continuous tense

Active = subject + H.V+M.V (4^th F) + object

They are playing cricket.

She is doing work.

وہ کرکٹ کھیل رہے ہونگے۔

وہ کام کر رہی ہوگی۔

 

Passive = object + H.V + Being +M.V (3^rd F) + by + subject

Cricket is being played by them

Work is being done by her.

کرکٹ ان زریعے کھیلی گئ۔

کام ھمارے زریعے کیا گیا

 

Negative منفی

Cricket is not being played by me

Work is not being played by me

Work is not being done by her.

 

Interrogative سوالیہ

 

Is cricket being played by them?

Is work being done by her?

past passive

 

6-Past continuous tense

Was were

Active =Subject + H.V (4th F) + object

We were waving flag.

Peon was ringing bell.

ہم جھنڈا لہرا ہے تھے۔

چپراسی بیل بجا رہا تھا۔

 

Passive voice

Object + H.V+ being + M.V (3^rd F) + by + object

Was were

Flag was being waving by us

Bell was Bing rung by peon.

جھنڈا ہمارے زریعے لہرا ہوگا۔

بیل چپراسی کے زریعے بج رہی تھی۔

 

Negative

Flag was not being waived by us

Bell was not being rung by peon

 

Interrogative سوالیہ  

Was flag being waived?

Was bell being rung by peon?
