The story: A few friends, one day,
went to the river to enjoy themselves. They stood beside the bank, looking at
the rise and the fall of the waves. They saw something black floating in the
river at some distance. They thought it to be a blanket. One of them was very
greedy. He jumped into the river to catch hold of it. One reaching nears it; he
was greatly surprised to discover that it was a bear and not a blanket. He
turned round to swim back to the bank at once. But the bear caught hold of him.
He tried to free himself, but it was all in vain. His friends thought that he
was drowning with the load of the blanket. They, therefore, advised him to save
himself by letting the blanket go. He heard their cry and said, “I am ready to
leave the blanket, but the blanket does not leave me.
