The village school is generally situated outside the village. It is one the main road, and it has some shady trees in its compound. It consists of three or four rooms made of kachha bricks. Its staff consists of two teachers. One of them is also in charge of the Branch post office. Its furniture consists of three or four black-boards and an equal number of desks and chairs for teachers. The floor of each room is covered with jute mats for students to sit on. If they have to it’s under the sun in winter, they spread out these mats in the compound. But if it is too hot to sit in the sun, they spread these out under the send their boys to school, because they are very helpful to them in their fields. Attendance, therefore, is very poor. So only a few of them stay there to complete their primary is so backward in education.
