The tailor
is a useful member of society. He is found in every village and town. He cuts
the cloth according to our measure, and sews our clothes with a sewing machine.
He cannot afford to be careless about his work, for that would spoil the
clothes of his customers. He has to work day and night, if a marriage, fair or
a festival is drawing near. He seldom keeps his promise. He has, therefore, to
bear the sharp rebukes of the people he deals with. He charges are very heavy
these days, but hi not at all to be blamed for that. Dearness troubles him as
much as it troubles us.
