The story: A
dog was once run over by a tonga. It received many serious injuries and was
taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment. The doctor dressed its wounds
with great care and let it go with it go with a pat on its back. The next day
it came again to the doctor, of its own accord. He smiled at its intelligence
and dressed it’s would as before. These visits continued for many days, till
the wound were all healed up. Even then it used to visit the hospital every
day. It sat beside the doctor for a while, received a pat from him and went
away.
One day it was accompanied by
another dog with a bleeding ear. It led its friends to the doctor and began to
wag its tail. The doctor understood the object of its visit, and did not fail
to do his duty.
