The story: A
cap-seller was once going to a fair. He had a bundle of caps on his head. He
was passing through a jungle. He was dead tried. He lay down under the shade of
a tree, and soon he fell fast asleep.
These lived many monkeys in that tree. They
came down to search the bundle. They saw many caps in it. They put these on
their heads and went up the tree once again. When the cap-seller got up, he was
surprised to see empty boxes lying about. He thought that the caps had been
stolen by somebody, and began to weep. He heard similar cries from above. He
looked up and understood everything. He thought of a plan to regain his caps.
He threw his own cap down on that ground in great anger. The monkeys did the same.
He was delighted to see all his caps scattered around him. He lost no time in
collecting them and went his way.
