The Lion And The Mouse Story in English

The story: once a lion lay down to rest under a shady tree. Soon he fell asleep. A mouse came out if began to run on its back. But the lion woke up and caught it in his paw in great anger. He was about to put it to death. But it begged for mercy, and he let it go.

       After a few days he was caught in a hunter’s net. He struggled hard to free himself, but it was all in vain. He set up a loud roar in his despair. It was heard by the grateful mouse. It ran o spot and found its friend in great trouble. At once it began to nibble the strong ropes of the net with its sharp teeth. Before long the lion came out of the net. He was full of gratitude for his little friend.
