The
story: Once upon a
time a greedy young man had a strange goose. It laid a golden egg every day. He
sold these eggs in the market, and went on growing richer and richer. But was
not satisfied with the way in which fortune smiled at him. He wanted to become
a millionaire overnight. He decided to kill the goose to have at once all the
eggs, that was inside her. He lost no time in putting his scheme into practice.
But he was greatly disappointed to find only one egg inside it. He lost the goose
as well as the eggs that he used to get every day. His greediness was the cause
of his misfortune. But it was no use crying over spilt milk.
Moral: it is no use crying over spilt milk.
