The
story: there lived a
saint in a hut beside the bank of a river. He spent most of his time in praying
or reading the Holy Quran. His wife kept the house and milked the cows. His son
sold the milk in the market and returned home with the necessities of life. He
gave charity to the poor and helped windows and orphans as much as he could.
People often saw the foot-prints of
triggers and leopards around his cottage. One day some farmers saw him ride a
lion to the river, late after sunset. They were too frightened to ask him
anything. But he understood everything, with a smile on his face.
He met some of them a few days
later. He said to them of his own accord, “God is All-powerful. He is very kind
to those who do His bidding. Obey him, and His creation will obey you.” They
understood what the saint hinted at a returned home with a strong will to lead
pious lives.
Moral: Good’s creation obeys those who obey
Him.
