The
story: Once upon a time a mouse lived in a hole at the foot of a hill. Whenever
it came out, it saw birds flying in the air. It looked at them with great
surprise and longed to fly kite them. One day, it was sitting on the top of the
hill. It was enjoying the beauty of nature. All of a sudden a kite caught to
fly in the air once again, with the little mouse in the grip of its talons.
The foolish thing way very glad at
its good luck, and was greatly enjoying its flight. But another kite fell upon
the first to snatch the mouse away. They began to fight in the air. As chance
would have it, the grip of the first kite was loosened. But the other could not
catch hold of the mouse. So it passed through the air at a great speed and fell
down senseless on the ground. Its body was buried all over. It was feeling
intense pain in each and every limb, when it came to its senses. But never
again did it long to fly in the air like a bird.
Moral: Be always contented with you
lot.
