A MOTOR
RICKSHAW is a light three wheeled carriage. It is driven by petrol, and its
driver occupies the front seat. Behind him is a cushioned seat over the hind
wheels. It is for two passengers to sit on. It has a water-proof hood to
protect. It is a quick and comfortable conveyance. It is found in big cities
like Lahore, Multan, Lyallpur, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad and
Karachi. People use it for going from one part of the town to another, in the
shortest possible time. It is fitted with a meter and its fare is fixed at
eighty paisa per mile. It is quicker than a Tonga and cheaper than a taxi. It
is gaining great popularity among the middle classes.
