THE ZOO is
situated on the shareh Quaid-i-Azam. Pervaiz and I went there, one day, to
enjoy ourselves. We bought two tickets from the gate and went in. we saw a big
fountain playing in front of us. There were hundreds of other visitors, bus
going sound cages. First of all we saw deer, stags and rabbits. Then we went to
see monkeys and baboons. We threw some grams in their cages, and they ate them
with great delight. After that we went to the cages of wolves, jackals and
bears. We went further on to see pigeons, parrots and sparrows of different
kinds and colours. At a stone’s throw from there, we saw a black elephant,
fastened with a strong chain to a huge peg. He was eating grass with the help
of his trunk. We stood there for many minutes, enjoying the sight with great
interest. Last of all we went to the cages of tigers, leopards and lions. On
our way back we saw many ducks and cranes, swimming in the pool beside the main
gate. The sun was about to set, when we returned home, greatly pleased with our
visit to the zoo.
