A Trip To Delhi Essay In English

FAHTER and I flew to Delhi in September last. He was in a hurry to see some of his old friends, and I was anxious to go round the city, and to visit some of its old historical buildings. The time at our disposal was very short, but father was kind enough to permit me to go wherever I liked. We sat in a taxi and drove through the chandni Chauk, the Sadar Bazaar, the sabzi Mandi, the Qutab Road and the Delhi Gate. On the way we stopped for some time to see the jamia Masjid, the Red Fort, the Fatehpuri Mosque, the Mutiny Memorila, the Roshan Ara Garden and the Kotla Firoz Shah. We passed through a large number of crowded streets and bazaars. Then we decided to pay a hurried visit to the Qutab Minar, the Dargah of Hazrat Nizam-ud-Din (Rahmatullah-i-Allah), the Tomb of  Humayun, the grave of Mirza Ghalib, the Hmna Bridge, the Samadh of Gandhiji and the Canal Headwork at Okhla. After that we returned to the hotel to board the janta for Agra.
