I WASH the
kettle well, when I have to make tea. Then I fill three-fourths of it with
fresh water and place it on well-lit fire. I take care that there is not smoke.
I wait and watch, till the water begins to boil. I pour an ounce of it into the
tea-pot and shake it well, in order to warm it up. Then I throw the water out
and put as many tea-spoons fouls of tea-leaves into it, as the tea-cups I require.
After that, I pour the required amount of boiling water over these leaves, and
place the lid over the tea-pot. After about five minutes I put a tea-water in
it. Tea is now ready for use. I pour it into the tea-cups, and add milk and
sugar to taste.
