I HAD an unexpected treat on Sunday late. I was getting
ready for going to the market, when my cousin came from Rawalpindi. We greeted
each other with a smile and sat down, for each other with a smile and sat down,
for a while, to talk about many things. He was flying to Karachi early next
morning. But he wanted to see, before his early net morning. But he wanted to
see, before his departure, the chief places of interest in Lahore. So we went
to the zoo, after a hurried breakfast. We spent an hour or so in seeing all
sorts of bird beasts. We also had a walk in the Jinnah Gardens and the
Gulistan-i-Fatimah. Then we went to the Museum and were delighted to see a
large number of different things of the past. By this time, was begun to feel
very hungry. So we want to the Nemat Kadah to have or lunch over there. After
that we paid short visits to the Tomb of Jahangir and the Shalimar Gardens. The
song of little birds, the sweet smell of flowers and the wonderful carvings in
stone were well worth admiring. It was almost dusk, when we returned home.
