HAZRAT ‘ISA (Alaih-is-Salam)

HAZRAT ‘ISA (Alaih-is-Salam) was a great prophet. He had no father and was called Rooh-ullah. His mother, Hazrat Maryam (Alaih-as-Salaam) was a pious woman. He received the divine message in the form of the bible. His followers are called Christians. People were surprised that virgin Maryam had given birth to a child. They rebuked her and said that her mother was a pious woman. But the baby in her lap put an end to their doubt about her character by saying that he was prophet of Allah. He cured the lepers, restored the eyesight of the blind and brought the dead to life, with the order of God. But these miracles were not enough to put the Israelites on the right path. They were not at all prepared to hear a world against their false gods. They decided to put him to death. But God willed otherwise. He saved his prophet, but his enemies could not understand.
