IF I
KNOCK at a wrong door, when I go to visit a friend of mine, I shall be
surprised to see a stranger open it. I shall, at once realize the mistake I
have made shall apologies for putting him to unnecessary inconvenience. At the
same time, I shall name the friend whom I had come to see. I shall also request
him to help me in finding out his house, if he can. If he does I shall be all
the more grateful to him. But it is also possible that he may regret to be of
any service to me. I shall not mind that, and shall shake hands with him,
before I leave that place.
