On Being Checked By A Traffic constable

IF I AM going without light on my bicycle, I shall get down, as soon as I hear a policeman blowing his whistle. Then I shall approach him and shall express my regret. It I have any reasonable excuse to make, I shall explain my position to him. I shall thank him, if he accepts it. But, in case I am intentionally at fault, I shall behave like a law-abiding citizen. I shall give him my name and complete address. And when I appear before the traffic Magistrate, I shall be ready to suffer for my folly.
