THE UNCLE of a friend mine passed away on Friday last. As soon as i heard this sad news, I went to his house. I saw about a hundred people of all ages sitting there on a few durries.
The dead body, wrapped up in a shroud, was brought out on a cot, by four persons. It was covered with a sheet of black cloth, and many verses from the Holy Quran were embroidered on it.

On this sheet were placed many wreaths. The funeral procession went on moving at a snail's pace through the main road leading to the grave-yard.

Many people joined it on its way to the janazgha. They were reciting the Kalim-i-Shahadat, after every two or three minutes.
They offerd the Namaz-i-Janazah, before they buried the deceased in his grave. May God forgiv him his faults! Amen!
