THE HOARDING-HOUSE play a very valuable role in the field of education. Those who are living in it make friends who influence them for the rest of their lives.
They join together in game and enjoy all the pleasures of good comradeship. They sharpen one another's wits in conversation, and get their rough angles and corners rubbed off by mixing together.The boarding house
The superintendent gives them excellent training in character-building. They learn to obey rules, to sympathies with others in their distress, and to practise self-restraint.

Thus the charm of life in a hostel lies only in its discipline, the development of esprit de corps, the formation of good habits and the opportunities it provides for judging between good and evil.
